Growing up in Fremantle, Western Australia has seen a lot of memories for me and it ranges for a variety of things. From running into Fremantle to skip classes at school and heading to Time Zone, playing Quasar laser shooting, fishing off the jetty, sneaking out of home at night and heading to the nightclubs at the age of 16/17, working as a holistic therapist, visiting the Pickled Fairy for all the cool wizard stuff as a child and so many other things that the list just cannot handle at the moment (or is that the memory not functioning).
The city has seen a lot of my ventures, lots of dates and as I walk through the markets today, I’m saying hello to all the people at the ‘cool’ shops. Well, they’re all cool but I’m referring to the coffee shop ‘Black Cherries’ and the crystal shops that are there.
Fremantle has a lot of history tucked away and plenty of businesses, such as the bar that operates now from the J-Shed where they have a DJ that plays chill out music and is a beautiful place to hang out. Whilst It maybe a young city when looking at the rest of the world, such as Europe, there is a lot to take in. Throughout the years, the city hasn’t changed much and the preservation legislation that the City of Fremantle has put in place many many years ago as allowed the City of Fremantle to stick to its origins. It is a beautiful place to visit and there’s soooo much food & coffee! The beaches are the best!
Here are a few photos taken from today’s ventures into Fremantle.
