I love photography and this section of my site is focused on my photographic works over the years that I’ve been exploring life behind the camera. Life is a beautiful and precious element, without life, we wouldn’t be here, my goals with this is to show what I see life to be like behind the lens.

My Introduction to Photography
Ever since childhood and finding a camera hidden away in Dad’s cupboards from his teenage years, the thirst for photography was born. Taking photos and getting behind that lens quickly became a hobby and one that my parents found rather expensive as I went through a roll of film within a day. Do you remember the days when you saved that photo for the greatest of moments because you’d be having to buy heaps more film? Well, well they were there.
With the invention of digital cameras, it brought a huge relief to the parents whom purchased a Kodak digital camera which sported a 3 x digital zoom lens. It was great and the photos were done by the hundreds. A few years later, Steven moved on to purchasing his first camera which was a Canon Powershot A95 after selling it to a customer. He was so impressed with the camera that he purchased it and that travelled around the world a few times with him.
In 2009, after some lengthy research into trying to figure out whether to buy an entry level SLR camera. Steven purchased the Canon SX1 IS which was a fantastic point and shoot camera. Whilst only knowing the method of ‘point and shoot’ he did love to save those memories behind the camera. He was impressed and the specification of the SX1 IS were comparable with the Digital SLR’s at the time, yet the passion for an SLR was always there.
It was in 2014 when Steven decided to take the plunge and purchase the Nikon D7100 DSLR camera as he was always in need of having photos taken of stock images with the crystals & jewellery pieces. He was dependant on the friend at the time (whom re-sparked his passion for photography) to take these photos for him. These images that they were taking were also remarkable but he needed his own. The Canon SX1 IS wasn’t coping well at all, especially in the battery department. It was in 2015, that both the A95 and the SX1 IS were gifted to a child whom was wanting to learn photography.
Ever since the purchased of the D7100, Steven has been taking photographs that he has always dreamed of taking and saw himself being hired professionally as a photographer back in 2014 at a bar in Western Australia. His passion is seen in the photos that he is taking, the photos, macro shots (which he adores) and the list grows on. He is also fascinated with taking photos of people to see if he capture the contours and blends between person and objects.
